During this tour, we will cruise along the Northern coast of Malta enjoying the views of St. Paul’s Islands & Mellieha.
Upon arrival at the pretty Mgarr Harbour in Gozo, we will board our transport for a short transfer to the main town, Victoria. We will stay in Victoria for approx. 75 minutes.
A visit to the main piazza called 'San Gorg' which can be found amongst a labyrinth of narrow alleys and quaint streets. The church here is stunning, and if it is open, definitely worth while visiting. You can also enjoy a drink at one the local bars in the piazza.
You can also visit 'The Citadel' which sits on a higher level above Victoria, in fact the views across the island are amazing. You can walk from the centre of Victoria to The Citadel, it is a 10 minute walk, however, the hill leading up to this small fortified settlement is quite steep. The Citadel, is on Malta’s tentative list of future World Heritage Sites by UNESCO, whom describe it as a small fortified town. An old prison is located within the city, as are the Courts of Justice.
We reboard the boat and head towards Comino Island. The main attraction is the Blue Lagoon, a beautiful natural bay with crystal clear turquoise water. The rest of the day is spent on Comino Island before we set sail and return back to the main island.
Access to the Blue Lagoon
All cruise boats moor on the periphery of the Blue Lagoon and there is a 5-minute walk to the main Blue Lagoon beach.
Cruise Routing
This boat departs from Sliema first and then pick's up from St. Paul's Bay on way to the Comino. On the return, it drops off at St. Paul's Bay first and then Sliema.
Who should book this cruise?
This cruise tour is not recommended if you want to visit the many other sites the island of Gozo has to offer and/or want to enjoy more time swimming at the Blue Lagoon on the island of Comino. If this is the case, we highly recommend that you book separate tours to visit each island if you want to enjoy the very best of both islands.
You can make your own way to the boat departure point in Sliema. If you are not staying in the Sliema area book a transfer to get to the boat and return you back at the end of the boat trip. Checkout out pickup point options below and click on the location to view on Google Maps.
The time in Victoria is free time, you are not accompanied by a local guide.
The walk to The Citadel is quite steep. The terrain and pathways on Comino Island can be uneven and in some areas are rugged. People with walking difficulties will struggle. It is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
If you are staying in the St. Paul's Bay area or the north of Malta, the embarkation point is normally from the St. Paul's Bay area, however, this may change to Cirkewwa if the sea conditions are not suitable to embark in St. Pual's Bay. Therefore, passengers from the St. Paul's Bay area or north will miss cruising past St. Paul’s Islands and Ghadira bay.
On the return, passengers disembark in the north of the island first, and then Sliema last.

Very beautiful experience

The ship is "well equipped with fresh water shower and toalet" mean in reality: 2 toalet for over 400 passengers! Gozo was nice, the bus trip could have been organised better. Should calculate for the number of passengers. The blue lagoon is a clean rip off. Nothing to see, but a bare stone island with 1 buffet on hilltop, as tourist attraction. The waste of that visit, in forms of cigarette butts and pinapple "cups" from coctails. There was no waste bins.

Great tour, it seemed the best tour we could do due to our limited time. Our party of 6 all agreed that the island of Goza definitely deserves a dedicated full day and not just a few hours. Blue lagoon was lovely even though it was a bit cloudy. Great value, thank you.

We really enjoyed our day, the only slightly disappointing bit was the quality of the audio tour in Gozo and the lack of instructions for the audio channel and how to make the best of it but it was a small part of an otherwise really good day. We particularly loved swimming from the boat in the Blue Lagoon and exploring the Cittadella in Gozo.

Very badly organised. Not enough time in Gozo. Weren't kept informed at all by tour organisers on the day just herded on and off boat and coach. Pick up time ran 45 minutes late to begin with. Tour was billed from 10 am until 4.30pm but when on tour we were told not back to port until at least 6.30pm. Very disappointed
