Join the crew on Fernandes I or II for a great day out and experience. We will depart from the Sliema Marina and cruise along the north-west coast, towards the sister island of Gozo. 
 
Our first stop will be at approx. 1115hrs, we drop anchor in a secluded bay just off the Gozo coast.. You can admire the panoramic cliffs, have a swim and snorkel or just chill out on the large deck area and sunbathe. 
 
Our stewards will prepare a delicious buffet. After lunch, we sail towards Comino, where we drop anchor in the beautiful Blue Lagoon and spend the rest of the afternoon swimming in the magical crystal clear water of the lagoon.

Fresh fruit is served before we leave the Blue Lagoon and the rest of the day is cruising back along the coast, the ideal scene to relax and enjoy the beautiful coast. 

Transport will then return you back to your hotels/drop off points.
 
The Turkish Gullets

Fernandes I which is a 26.5 metre long Schooner Rigged Turkish Gullet with a large forward deck, covered stern deck and a large saloon and Fernandes II which is 38 metres long, two-masted gaff-rigged vessel, Fernandes II has a large forward deck, covered stern deck and a saloon.

During this tour, we will cruise along the Northern coast of Malta enjoying the views of St. Paul’s Islands & Mellieha. 

Upon arrival at the sister island of Gozo, we will board a Gozo Sightseeing Bus and we will visit the Capital City Victoria. Victoria is the name given in 1897 by the British government on the occasion of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee, at the request of the Bishop of Malta, Mons. Sir Pietro Pace. However Gozitans still often refer to it by its old name, Rabat. The area around Victoria, situated on a hill near the centre of the island has been settled since Neolithic times. In the centre of Victoria lies The Cittadella, a historic fortified city. The Cittadella also called at The Citadel, is on Malta’s tentative list of future World Heritage Sites by UNESCO, who describes it as a small fortified town. An old prison is located within the city, as are the Courts of Justice. Here you will stop for around 75 minutes. 

On the way back to the port we will stop for a few minutes at Qala Belvedere for a fantastic photo opportunity of all three islands. 

In the afternoon, we head to the famous Blue Lagoon where you can spend time exploring the island and swimming in the tranquil turquoise water.

Who should book this cruise?
This cruise tour is not recommended if you want to visit the many other sites the island of Gozo has to offer and/or want to enjoy more time swimming at the Blue Lagoon on the island of Comino.  If this is the case, we highly recommend that you book separate tours to visit each island if you want to enjoy the very best of both islands. 

This cruise is specially designed to give the maximum time in Comino and enable you to make the most of the unforgettable crystal clear waters of the magical Blue Lagoon. The rest of the day is spent at one's own leisure sunbathing or swimming off the boat or going ashore to the small white sandy beach.

We transfer to the Cirkewwa terminal located in the north of Malta to board our ferry for a short ferry crossing to the island of Gozo. During the crossing, you will pass the smaller island of Comino and you will notice a top of the high rugged cliffs stands the Santa Maria Fort which was used during the movie 'Count of Monte Cristo' (filmed 2002). Our ferry crossing lasts only 25 minutes and on arrival, we join the guide and tour transport for our tour of Gozo.

You will immediately notice that Gozo is much greener and has certain characteristics making it different from the larger island of Malta. We start our tour with a visit to the shrine of Ta'Pinu (dedicated to the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu). This important church is set in a stunning location, on the edge of a ridge in open countryside and providing beautiful views of the surrounding area. The church is also linked to a number or 'miracles' which you will discover during your visit.

We continue to our next stop and the area known as 'Dewjra'. Here you will see three interesting geological sites including Dwejra Bay and the Inland Sea which is a lagoon of seawater which has access to the open sea through a small arch-like tunnel. You can take a small boat trip around the inland sea and through the tunnel (cost of the boat trip is not included in the tour rate, allow €4 per person if you would like to do this and if time allows). Another of Dwejra's geological delights is the Admiral's Rock or as it is better known, Fungus Rock. A special plant is said to grow here which has various medical cures for conditions such as dysentery, bleeding and impotence.

Just before our lunch break, we will visit the Ta’ Dbiegi Crafts Village where you can view local handmade pottery, mouth-blown glass, Gozo lace and silver filigree. This shortstop is ideal if you want to pick up a souvenir or just a short rest stop before you settle down for lunch.

After lunch in the main city which is locally called Rabat but you are likely to know it as Victoria, we will take a short walk through this busy little city to join a trackless train for a short trip up the steep hill to the fortified Cittadella. The Cittadella is a small walled city within the city of Victoria, only a small number of families still live within the walls. This historical fortified city has recently undergone major restoration works and you can visit the new visitors centre, explore quaint alleys or stroll around the walls enjoying amazing views of the island from the high bastions.

The final part of our tour of Gozo will take us through some of the villages, en route we will stop at the Qala Belvedere. This stop gives you an amazing scenic view of the landscape cascading down to the coast and in the distance the smallest island of Comino and the larger island of Malta...all in one photo.

At this stage, our tour is coming to an end and we will make our way back to the ferry for our return to Malta and transport you back to the drop off point.

Ggantija Temples (a UNESCO World Heritage site) are 5500 years old, making them some of the oldest free-standing structures in the world. Our guide will unfold the history related to these 'giant towers' erected during the golden neolithic period (c. 3600–2500 BCE).
 
We next proceed to the pretty bay of Marsalforn and here you will board a trackless train which will take you on a fabulous trip where you will discover some of Gozo's natural sites. You will travel on the smooth plateau from where you can admire ancient salt pans and beautiful natural bays of Xwejni and Qbajjar, not accessible by large coaches. This unique way of touring is exclusive to this tour and so not to be missed. We rejoin our coach and continue to our next stop at the Ta’ Dbiegi Crafts Village, this shortstop is ideal if you want to pick up a souvenir. A late lunch is included during this tour before we visit our visit to the main town of Victoria.
 
Our final stop is to Victoria, the island capital and the crossroads of Gozo..meaning all main roads pass through Victoria. Victoria is also locally known as Rabat, in fact, locals still call it that. Here you will have time to explore the ancient Cittadella an ancient fortified city located at the heart of Victoria. The Cittadella is a small walled city, only a small number of families still live within the walls. This historical fortified city has recently undergone major restoration works and you can visit the new visitors centre, explore quaint alleys or stroll around the walls enjoying amazing views of the island from the high bastions.

At this stage, our tour is coming to an end and we will make our way back to the ferry for our return to Malta and transport you back to the drop off point. 

You will be picked by regular transport for a short boat trip to Gozo Island. On arrival, you will meet the Jeep Safari tour leader.

Our Jeep tour will include visits to popular sites such as Ggantija Temples (only if requested, entrance fee not included), Dwejra Bay (Fungus Rock, Inland Sea & Blue Hole), Victoria, and the Citadel plus other sites not normally included during a normal tour of Gozo, these include - Simar Valley, Qala Belvedere, Salt Pans, Ramla Bay (time for a swim during summer), Marsalforn, Saltpans, Xlendi Bay and Sannap Cliffs. There is also a tasting and shopping stop.

This tour is suitable for those that enjoy a touch of adventure and enjoy exploring the scenic routes. The tour is a lot of fun, however, can be bumpy at times. 

Your return back to Malta will be by exciting speedboat via the Island of Comino and the caves. Transport will be waiting for you to transfer you back to the drop-off point.

During the tour you will visit many sites which are impossible to get on a regular tour, these include - Simar Valley, Qala Belvedere, Ramla Bay (time for a swim during summer), Marsalforn, Saltpans, Ghasri Valley.

Get ready for an exciting day, full of amazing vistas, charming villages, hidden gems and an abundance of frills along the way. The day starts with a pleasant 25-minute ferry crossing, on the way passing the smaller island of Comino...make sure you find a place on the 'starboard' side of the ferry for the best possible views. As soon as you arrive on the island you will notice Gozo is different to the main island, it is significantly much greener. 

We start our tour with a visit to the town of Qala, here you will enjoy sweeping views across the channel including the island of Comino and in the distance Malta...this will set the tone for the day. We then proceed and drive through the village of Nadur, home to the amazing 'Carnivale' which they host during the carnival season. Our next stop is Ramla l-Hamra (Red Sand Beach), here we will stop for a while so you can enjoy this unique bay (during summer you can also have a swim). We continue onto the charming village of Xaghra, the piazza is a hive of activity and very popular with expats that decide to retire on the island. 

A visit to Gozo is not really complete without a visit to the main town, Victoria or as it locally called 'Rabat'. Here you will have some free time to explore on your own. Make sure you visit the Citadel, this charming ancient walled fortress enjoys some amazing views from the bastions and a short walk around it will take you through a maze of quaint streets and narrow alleys. Don't miss the old part of Victoria and the piazza of San Gorg. If the Basilica is open, take a look. Piazza San Gorg is the main meeting place in the town, therefore expect to find a plethora of eateries, bars and cafes..a great place to grab a snack before you continue with your tour. 

Next up - Marsaxlforn. Here our drivers will take you on a beautiful coastal scenic route of Xwejni Bay and the Salt Pans at Qbajjar. We proceed to the west of the island and the picturesque bay of Dwejra. Here you can explore the Inland Sea, Fungus Rock and the Blue Hole, an impressive natural pool. 

Our final stop is the beautiful Xlendi Bay where you will have some free time before we start to make our way back.  

See Malta from a different perspective, the cruise hugs the coastline and you will see many of the coastline attractions. You start by passing through the Marsamxett harbour, then heading south passing the fishing villages, by Blue Grotto caves (the boat does not visit the caves), cruise under the towering Dingli Cliffs, past Popeye Village and onto Comino Island. 

We will berth in the beautiful Santa Maria Bay, where you will have some free time to disembark and explore the island. Later we continue our cruise and anchor in a secluded bay where you can choose to take a refreshing dip, snorkel around the rugged coastline or simply lay back and relax and take in the sun from our spacious decks. 

In the afternoon we continue with our cruise around the other side of the island, passing Mellieha Bay, St. Paul's and the White Rocks coastline before returning to the harbour. 

Transport will then return you back to your hotels/drop off points.
